Fall Guys Was The Top Game On Twitch, Beating LoL & Dota 2 During The Weekend

Ladies and gentlemen, we may have a new party game hit on our hands.

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout, a 60-player battle royale 3D platformer with various stages & game modes, enjoyed its 48-hour beta period since the 25th July 0:00 GMT+8. And apparently, a lot of people are falling in love with its jelly people-starring antics; the game is on the top spots of the Twitch charts and Steam.

Fall Guys was briefly sitting above every other game on Twitch before dropping down to #25. Impressive, considering the game isn’t even out yet.

We enjoyed our time too; while the servers needed work in terms of matchmaking, the beta holds a lot of promise of being 2020’s de facto party game when it officially launches 4th August. Just when you think the battle royale genre is getting stale, along comes this saccharine casual and silly game (with purposefully wonky physics) to set things right. Expect a video of our goofy antics this week.
