Private Division, the folks who help publish last year’s darling sci-fi RPG The Outer Worlds and this year’s Disintegration, is expanding its portfolio by partnering up with some well-known indie company names.
First up is Moon Studios, who developed one of our favourite titles of 2020, Ori and the Will of the Wisps. They are hard at work on a new action RPG together with Private Division. To quote Moon Studios’ Thomas Mahler and Gennadiy Korol:
“We attribute our success to the ‘iterative polish’ process we use at Moon Studios, and we’re continuing that style of development to create a new game that rises above anything we’ve created thus far.”
The second studio to team up with the publisher is League of Geeks, renowned for the furry-filled digital board game Armello. They’re also going to make a new video game; no announcements on that yet so far.
Last but not least is Roll7, the folks behind the addictive 2D skateboarding game OlliOlli, NOT A HERO, and Laser League. The company is working on another “flow state” game. Again, no release dates yet, though these games won’t be launching until Take-Two’s fiscal year 2022.
Long story short: the mid-sized indie gaming future is looking bright with Private Division in tow.
