Netflix Is Getting A Splinter Cell Animated Series From John Wick Writer

Remember when Ubisoft used to create excellent stealth games? Yeah, us too. While there haven’t been any new Splinter Cell games, rest assured that we’ll at least get an animated equivalent.

Netflix and Ubisoft are teaming up to create an anime series adaptation of the Splinter Cell series (via Variety). Who will be penning the script and taking on executive production roles? Derek Kolstad, who is known for writing the John Wick films. The series will receive a two-season 16-episode order at the streaming service. There’s no confirmation on who the voice actors will be, but Michael Ironside should at least reprise his role as main operative Sam Fisher.

With this alongside Mythic Quest, a show Ubisoft is also producing, the company’s TV catalogue might be going places. This would be nice if the Ubisoft sexual misconduct stories didn’t leave a sour taste in our mouths.
