Hearthstone & WoW Streamer Reckful Dies At 31

Twitch streamer Byron “Reckful†Bernstein has reportedly passed away at the age of 31. The cause of death is currently unknown, although online reports have circulated that it was a suicide.
The tragic news was announced by esports journalist/insider Rod “Slasher†Breslau on his Twitter account after he confirmed the news with Bernstein’s roommate and ex-girlfriend, Becca.

Becca later posted a longer message in a Tweet, saying:
“We need better support for those with mental needs.
I remember Byron telling me how traumatized he was when he had the authorities called on him for being at risk of suicide.
Anyone that knew him knew how much it scared and affected him.”

Reckful was best known for World of Warcraft and Hearthstone, both games of which he not only streamed but also play competitively. Bernstein’s death has been met with tweets from fans and fellow streamers like djWHEAT and more. His last tweet before his death was this:
