By Alleef Ashaari|July 23, 2020|0 Comment
The ASUS ROG Phone 3 has been officially announced, and it’s powerful. It features a 6.59-inch OLED HDR colour-calibrated screen with a fast 144Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time. It’s powered by the Snapdragon 865 Plus chipset with 5G support, and it can be configured with up to 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.1 ROM storage.
Lastly, the ROG Phone 3 features a massive 6,000mAh battery, similar to last year’s ASUS ROG Phone 2.
It also has a side-mounted USB-C port, so gamers can still play in landscape mode comfortably even while charging. In addition, the ASUS ROG Phone 3 will also be compatible with Google Stadia when it launches. Those who purchase the device will also receive three months worth free trial of Google Stadia.
The ultrasonic AirTrigger pressure-sensitive touch sensors located around the edges of the phone attempt to replicate the experience of using a real controller, adding a swipe gesture to each button to make up for the lack of a physical L1/L2 and R1/R2 buttons on the phone.
Besides that, the ASUS ROG Phone 3 will feature a 24MP front camera and 64MP back camera.
There will also be a bunch of accessories, including the TwinView Dock 3 display, the ROG Kunai 3 Gamepad, the ROG Strix XG16 15.6-inch portable gaming monitor with an IPS panel and a 144Hz refresh rate, the ROG Cetra RGB are in-ear gaming headphones with active noise cancellation and USB-C connectivity, the ROG Falchion wireless mechanical keyboard with a touch panel, and many others.
The ASUS ROG Phone 3 will launch in Malaysia sometime in mid-September 2020, but ASUS has yet to reveal the official price for the phone. According to ASUS, the ASUS ROG Phone 3 will have a similar price with last year’s ASUS ROG Phone 2 (which ranged from RM2499, RM3499, and RM4499 for all three models, respectively).
There will be three variants:
