My Hero Academia Anime Is Getting An OVA This Month

Season 4 of the My Hero Academia anime ended earlier this year in April 2020, with the fifth season already confirmed to be in development. Now the anime will be getting an additional OVA (Original Video Animation) two-parter episode on 16 August 2020.

The OVA episode is titled “Boku no Hero Academia: Ikinokore! Kesshi no Survival Kunren” (My Hero Academia: Survive! Do-or-Die Survival Training).

The episode takes place right before the provisional pro hero license exam, which means that it will take place sometime during the events of Season 3.

The synopsis reads (via Anime News Network):

In this brand-new adventure, some Class 1-A students are sent to hone their survival skills at a training course.

Having yet to receive their provisional licenses, they’re eager to cut loose and have a little fun.

They quickly discover that the danger they face is no simulation!

It’s going to take their combined training, teamwork, and quick thinking if they’re going to pass this assignment!

The anime will stream exclusively on Hulu in Japan starting on 16 August 2020 and will stream on 30 August 2020 on other services such as d Anime StoreU-NEXTdTVAnime HōdaiHikari TVJ:COM on Demand, TELASA, and milplus.
