Final Fantasy VII Remake initially launched for the PS4 in April 2020, which now seems like it’s a long time ago due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. It managed to sell over 3.5 million copies in its first three days, but it looks like it has sold a lot more over the past few months.

Square Enix has announced that Final Fantasy VII Remake has sold more than five million units worldwide, breaking the record for highest-selling digital release on the PlayStation platform in company history.

Coincidentally, it’s also currently available to purchase on the PlayStation Store at a discounted price of RM160.38 until 18 August 2020. In the meantime, check out our glowing review of the game here.
