3D Realms Is Hosting An Online Event With Industry Veterans This September
The folks at 3D Realms, renowned for not just last year’s Ion Fury but also Duke Nukem 3D, Prey, and other first-person shooter classics, will be hosting its own online event called Realms Deep. Trailer below.
The company’s online event will run during the weekend of 6th-7th September, 2am GMT+8, and will serve up news and announcements from 3D Realms themselves, 1C Entertainment, New Blood Interactive, Nightdive Studios, and more.
Industry folks will also make an appearance, including folks like John Romero, Cliff Bleszinski, Tim Willits, and Jon St. John (the voice of Duke Nukem). Here’s an official statement from 3D Realms VP Frederik Schreiber on the event:
“Realms Deep 2020 gives us the chance to highlight what we’re working on while showcasing all the badass projects our friends are cooking up. It’s been a strange year, but we want to treat this as an awesome casual hangout with our fans and friends.”
At least there’s some good coming out from COVID-19: fans, media, and gaming folks can check out talks and upcoming news/game releases online instead of spending travel and accommodation money for exclusive traffic and content.
