We Are Getting A New G.I. Joe Game Based On The Classic 80s Version
By Alleef AshaariVerified|August 13, 2020|0 Comment
GameMill Entertainment has announced G.I. Joe: Operation Blackout, a team-based third-person shooter for the PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. It is slated to release on 13 October 2020.
G.I. Joe: Operation Blackout features 12 playable characters across Team Joe and Team Cobra, including fan-favourites like Duke, Snake Eyes, Cobra Commander, Destro, Roadblock, and Storm Shadow.
Players can take part in an 18-mission story campaign playable in either single-player or local split-screen cooperative modes; as well as a variety of player-versus-player multiplayer modes including Capture the Flag, Assault and King of the Hill.
The story campaign of the game follows an original story based on the 80s comics of G.I. Joe that will take players to familiar locations like the Cobra Headquarters and the U.S.S. Flagg aircraft carrier.
While the gameplay looks generic and similar to other third-person shooter titles, the visuals look interesting and inspired by the 80s G.I. Joe comics. This would do well in distinguishing it from the millions of other similar-looking shooters out there like Fortnite.
