With only two months to go until the highly-anticipated launch of CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077, the developer has reaffirmed a crucial detail about the upcoming game.
Amidst fears and confusion about whether Cyberpunk 2077 will feature microtransactions, CD Projekt Red has reiterated in a tweet earlier today that the singleplayer base game will not feature any microtransactions, as was previously confirmed.
They also reaffirmed that only the game’s multiplayer mode, which is separate from the singleplayer campaign, will feature “some microtransactions”.
This is exactly what they have promised at least a year ago when they initially announced Cyberpunk 2077‘s separate multiplayer mode, which will only arrive after the base game has launched.
Cyberpunk 2077 is slated to release for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC on 19 November 2020. Last month’s episode of Night City Wire showcased the game’s many weapons, lifepaths, and music, which you can check out here.
