Here Are the First Official Retail Prices For Next-Gen Xbox Models in Asia

As you have seen making its rounds this past couple of days, the next-gen Xbox models, the  Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X, hitting shelves on November 10 are priced at US$299 and US$499 respectively.  Microsoft also revealed that pre-orders for both consoles will open from 22 September 2020 alongside an instalment plan where customers can pay a monthly rate of US$34.99 (or roughly RM145+) for 24 months, and Xbox Series S at US$24.99 (or roughly RM104+) monthly for 24 months via Xbox All Access.

This is all good news, but there is still no official release on both model’s official retail prices at these parts of the world. Until today.

Both Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X will officially be available in Asian markets starting with Singapore in the following recommended retail prices:

Xbox Series S: SG$459 ~ RM1,400

Xbox series X: SG$699 ~ RM2.130

Just like in the US, pre-orders for both models open 22nd September 2020. As for other markets such as Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and the Philippines, rest assured as once we have them, we will update this post with the relevant info.

Here at Kakuchopurei, we truly hope that Microsoft would improve their support for Xbox marketing in the Southeast Asian market tenfold as compared to present gen. It has been appalling, to put it mildly. A strong competition for the dominant Sony and their PlayStation platform would only be great for the gaming community as a whole.

Still unsure which model to pick up? Here’s a quick rundown of the specifications for both models (via Xbox):
