During the PlayStation 5 Showcase earlier today, Sony announced many of the upcoming games slated to arrive on the PS5 in the future.
Head on over here to find out the official price and release date for the PS5.
These include both third-party and first-party exclusives, which you can check out below:
Square Enix and Creative Business Unit III have announced Final Fantasy XVI for the PS5 and PC. It is a single-player action-RPG and PlayStation console exclusive.
According to Final Fantasy XVI Producer Naoki Yoshida (via PlayStation Blog), more details and information will be revealed in 2021.
Publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment and developer Insomniac Games have revealed a seven-minute gameplay demonstration for Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales. They confirmed that the game will also be available on PS4 in addition to the PS5 on 12 (or 19) November 2020.
In addition, the Ultimate Edition of the game on the PS5 includes Marvel’s Spider-Man: Remastered. The gameplay demo also revealed that Marvel supervillain The Tinkerer will be one of the main antagonists in the upcoming game.
Publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and developers Avalanche Software and Portkey Games have announced Hogwarts Legacy for the PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It is slated to release sometime in 2021.
Hogwarts Legacy is an immersive, open-world action RPG set in the world first introduced in the Harry Potter books. Now you can take control of the action and be at the centre of your own adventure in the wizarding world.
Embark on a journey through familiar and new locations as you explore and discover fantastic beasts, customize your character and craft potions, master spell casting, upgrade talents, and become the wizard you want to be.
Experience Hogwarts in the 1800s. Your character is a student who holds the key to an ancient secret that threatens to tear the wizarding world apart.
You have received a late acceptance to the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and soon discover that you are no ordinary student: you possess an unusual ability to perceive and master Ancient Magic. Only you can decide if you will protect this secret for the good of all, or yield to the temptation of more sinister magic.
Developed by Raven Software, the game’s single-player experience will bring players back to the early 1980s at the height of the Cold War to stop a subversive plot with global implications: the threat of global thermonuclear war.
As a direct sequel to the original Call of Duty: Black Ops, it all begins with Nowhere Left to Run. In this mission, you play as CIA Operative Alex Mason, who arrives to Trabzon with their fellow operatives, including returning hero Frank Woods and new ally Russell Adler.
The developer also confirmed that PS4 owners can also get a taste of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Multiplayer through a platform exclusive Alpha weekend, complete with multiple modes, maps, and a preview of the Create-a-Class and Scorestreak systems.
Pre-load begins on 17 September 2020 at 11pm GMT+8. The Alpha kicks off on 19 September 2020 at 1am GMT+8 and is set to conclude on 21 September 2020 at 1am GMT+8.
Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War is slated to release for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC via Battle.net on 13 November 2020, and for PS5 and Xbox Series X sometime this holiday.
Capcom has released the second official trailer for Resident Evil Village.
Set a few years after the horrifying events in Resident Evil 7, the all-new storyline begins with Ethan Winters and his wife Mia living peacefully in a new location, free from their past nightmares. Just as they are building their new life together, tragedy befalls them once again.
Chris Redfield, the legendary hero from the Resident Evil series, is reacquainted with the couple and horribly disrupts their life, spiralling Ethan into chaos. A devastated Ethan finds himself in a remote snow-capped village seeking answers after being thrown into an entirely new nightmare.
Resident Evil Village is slated to release for the PS5, Xbox Series X and Steam sometime in 2021.
Publisher Bethesda Softworks and developer Arkane Lyon have released a new gameplay trailer for Deathloop; dubbed “Two Birds One Stone.â€
As Colt, players are trapped in a time loop on the enigmatic island of Blackreef, doomed to repeat the same day for eternity. The only chance for escape is to break the loop by unearthing information and assassinating eight key targets before the day resets.
However, lurking in the shadows is rival assassin Julianna, equipped with her own equally powerful abilities and weapons, on a mission to protect the loop by assassinating Colt, and restarting the cycle. Players can also choose to take control of Julianna, turning Deathloop into a deadly game of hunter-vs-hunted.
Deathloop is an innovative first-person shooter launching exclusively for the PS5 and PC sometime in Q2 2021.
