A Familiar Fighter Returns In Tekken 7 Season 4

During Tokyo Game Show 2020, Bandai Namco has revealed the first brand new fighter for the upcoming Tekken 7 Season 4 DLC.

Wearing a Japanese Kitsune (fox) mask, her name is Kunimitsu. Her fighting style seems to be ninjutsu-based or like a ninja’s, and she wields Kunai as her choice of weapon. In the teaser trailer, we see her defeat both Master Raven and Yoshimitsu.

The original Kinimitsu first appeared in the original Tekken and was last seen in Tekken 2. The version appearing in Tekken 7 will apparently be her daughter and successor.

The following free updates are also due out this fall:

  • Online play enhancements.
  • New moves for all playable characters.
  • A new top level rank “Tekken God Omega.”
  • Tekken Prowess: A new way for players to see their Tekken skills through points scoring.

Tekken series director Katsuhiro Harada also announced on Twitter that Tekken 7 sales have surpassed six million, while total sales for the franchise as a whole have exceeded 50 million copies worldwide.

In the meantime, check out the trailer below:
