Jamie Foxx’s Electro Will Return In Spider-Man 3

It looks like the sequel to 2019’s Spider-Man Far From Home will be getting a jolt of electricity in the form of Jamie Foxx’s Electro.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jamie Foxx is currently in final talks to reprise his role of Electro from 2014’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Director Jon Watts will be returning for the third Spider-Man MCU movie, which is slated to release on 5 November 2021 (as of now).
However, story details are scarce at the moment and it remains to be seen if the upcoming untitled Spider-Man 3 movie will pick up the thread of the Sinister Six that was supposed to happen after The Amazing Spider-Man 2.
That is; whether this version of Electro will be a new one or the same exact character from the last movie, which would mean that he’s from another universe.
Jamie Foxx’s turn as Electro wasn’t exactly celebrated by critics and fans alike, but perhaps he’ll perform better with a superior script and another opportunity. Electro is a classic Spidey villain, and it’ll be great to see him return.
In the meantime, you can check out our review of Spider-Man Far From Home, which remains the last MCU movie to have been released to date. The next MCU movie we’ll be catching is Black Widow, and that’s going to be in 2021.
