We’re still waiting for an official statement from the main PlayStation folks, but at least PlayStation Japan has acknowledged the issues and problems that came with the PS4 system update 8.00.
According to PlayStation Japan, they are currently working on restoring functionality via “investigation and recovery”. However, there’s no indication when exactly the issues and problems will be fixed at the time of writing.
Sometime after PlayStation Japan’s response, the official PlayStation finally acknowledged the issues and problems. Perhaps a fix may be arriving sooner than we expected, but stay tuned on Kakuchopurei.
Earlier today, the PS4 system update 8.00 launched worldwide, introducing new avatars and several improvements. Unfortunately, many PS4 users have been complaining that the latest system update is messing up their consoles.
Gamers are encountering software issues and new error codes, such as WS-44369-6. They are also reporting that the Friends List is broken, becoming inaccessible after the update. PlayStation has yet to officially respond to the errors and problems arising from the latest PS4 system software 8.00.
