Furiosa, the upcoming prequel to 2015’s Mad Max: Fury Road has found its young version of the fan-favourite character previously played by Charlize Theron.

According to Variety, director George Miller has cast Anya Taylor-Joy, Chris Hemsworth and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II to star in Furiosa.

Taylor-Joy will play the title role, who is a younger version of Charlize Theron’s Imperator Furiosa. Miller will direct, co-write and produce Furiosa, along with his longtime producing partner Doug Mitchell. The film will be produced by Miller’s own Australian-based Kennedy Miller Mitchell banner, together with Warner Bros. Pictures.

2015’s Mad Max: Fury Road garnered over US$375.22 million worldwide and won several awards at the 2016 Academy Awards, including Best Production Design and Best Film Editing.
