This Physical Version Of The Monkey Island Anthology Is An Adventure Fan’s Wet Dream

It’s way past International Talk Like A Pirate Day, but this Limited Run collector’s edition of a classic is sure to make you sing like one. Rhyming insults included.

The retro physical limited edition makers and distributors are releasing a sweet Monkey Island 30th Anniversary Anthology physical collection for PC this 30th October, and it will cost you US$159.99. It’s totally worth it for fans of the classic 90s adventure game series because it contains:

  • A 6″ resin statue of Guybrush Threepwood, the loveable but hapless hero of the series
  • Physical copies of all five games: The Secret of Monkey Island and its Special Edition, Monkey Island 2: LeChuck’s Revenge and its Special Edition, and The Curse of Monkey Island,
  • A Big Whoop Amusement Park “E” ticket,
  • A 3.5″ floppy disk,
  • The Ultimate Insult sketch in 8X10 poster form, straight out of Escape from Monkey Island,
  • A Lucasfilm Ltd. USB with all 5 games inside,
  • A Guybrush “Evolution” enamel pin set,
  • A Behind The Scenes anniversary book,
  • A multi-layered shadowbox artwork showcasing the most famous scene in The Secret of Monkey Island where Guybrush is stuck underwater. You know, the bit that proves that he can hold his breath underwater for 10 minutes.
  • A certificate of authenticity signed by Ron Gilbert, basically to show off your legit collection.

Sadly, Escape from Monkey Island and Tales of Monkey Island are omitted. Though to be fair, Escape from Monkey Island was a subpar game, as charismatic as it was trying to be. There will be more info on Limited Run regarding preordering this bad boy later this month.
