Sekiro’s Free Game Of The Year Update Launches This Week
By Alleef Ashaari|October 26, 2020|0 Comment
Publisher Activision and developer FromSoftware have released the launch trailer for Sekiro Shadows Die Twice Game of the Year Edition, which will arrive as a free update for all existing owners of the game on 29 October 2020 at 1am GMT+8.
The free update will add three new features: a boss rush mode that will let players replay any boss in the game; new costumes for the game’s protagonist; and a way to send online messages to help other players, similar in style to other Soulsborne games.
Sekiro’s new boss rush mode will let players battle boss-level enemies individually or consecutively in the Reflection of Strength and Gauntlet of Strength modes, respectively.
Players can also change the Wolf’s appearance with three new outfits, two of which are Old Ashina Shinobi and Tengu. Two of these new outfits can be unlocked via the Gauntlet modes, while the third will be unlocked by beating the game.
Last but not least, the update will add a new feature called Remnant recordings. These recordings of gameplay, up to 30 seconds long, will send a phantom-like version of the Wolf to other players’ games and can be paired with a message.
Sekiro Shadows Die Twice is now available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. In the meantime, check out my review of the game here.
