BlizzConline 2021 Will Be Free For All

In May 2020 earlier this year, BlizzCon 2020 was cancelled, and tentative plans were revealed to host an online event in early 2021. In September 2020, Blizzard Entertainment announced BlizzConline 2021, an all-digital convention that will serve as a replacement for BlizzCon 2020.

BlizzConline will run from 19 to 20 February 2021. According to Blizzard president J. Allen Brack (via PC Gamer), BlizzConline 2020 will be free “to watch and engage in.”

This is good news, as it means that all Blizzard fans will be able to participate in BlizzConline with no restrictions.

BlizzConline will offer an online cosplay exhibition and cosplay contest for fans, where they can dress as any Blizzard character and show off in front of the virtual world. The event will also host a digital storytelling contest, art contest, and general talent show.

Fans can also participate in the virtual March of the Murlocs, a procession where players would march through the Anaheim Convention Center dressed as Warcraft’s Murloc creatures.

For BlizzConline, players can send in videos of themselves marching wherever they may be dressed as the purposefully obnoxious critters. Fans can also march together, dressed as Murlocs, in World Of Warcraft and send a clip to Blizzard.

Fans who want to participate in any of the Community Showcase events must have their submissions to Blizzard by 4 January 2021.
