Star Wars Squadrons Update 2.0 Improves Ranks & Nerfs Bombers

After last week’s The Mandalorian update, Star Wars Squadrons is getting a major update with patch 2.0. This new update improved the Ranked Fleet Battles system, nerfs bombers, and more.

Ranked Fleet Battles now featured a new “forfeit” system, replacing the previous “Safe to Leave” and “Match Not Scored” qualifiers. Winning a game will now always grant full rewards, regardless of how many opponents dropped out.

It was previously a problem when players left the match, causing everyone else to play an entire 30-minute match without being able to receive any Ranked skill points if they win.

Losing a match after a teammate abandons will also now result in the loss of fewer Ranked skill points in doing so.

Bombers have also been nerfed, due to complaints that they broke the meta by being too overpowered. Now, their hull integrity has been reduced, so there’s no way for players to park underneath an enemy Capital Ship.

Plus, everyone receives 1,200 Glory for free. You can check out the full patch notes here.
