Thailand’s EXP Esports Crowned Champions Of Free Fire Continental Series Asia

Thailand’s EXP Esports has been crowned champion of Asia at the Free Fire Continental Series (FFCS), the mobile game’s flagship tournament of 2020.

The team claimed the title of continental champion earlier today in dramatic fashion, edging out second runner-up (and fellow Thai team) King of Gamer’s Club in the Grand Finals by a solitary point.

By triumphing over 11 other teams from across the region, EXP Esports took home a whopping US$80,000 of the US$300,000 total prize pool.

EXP Esports secured the title with 161 points, ahead of King of Gamer’s Club (160 points). Indonesia’s RRQ Hades were second-runner up with 133 points, level on points with their fellow countrymen EVOS Esports, but placing higher due to them having a higher number of placement points.

The overall standings for the Asia Series Grand Finals are as follows:

The Americas and EMEA Series Grand Finals also took place this weekend. Team Liquid and Santos Hotforex, both of which were from Brazil, ended up with 151 points each. However, Team Liquid narrowly won the series after having a better average placement. Brazil’s SS Esports was second runner-up with 136 points.

In the EMEA Series Grand Finals for the CIS region, Sbornaya ChR were crowned continental champions after racking up a massive 158 points, with their regional counterparts Silence (124 points) and Stay Away (109 points) placing first and second runners-up respectively.
