You Can Now Transfer Your Marvel’s Spider-Man Save Data To The Remastered PS5 Version
By Alleef AshaariVerified|November 23, 2020|0 Comment
It looks like nothing is set in stone anymore. Insomniac Games previously said that players won’t be able to transfer their Marvel’s Spider-Man PS4 save data and trophies to the remastered PS5 version.
However, thanks to a new update on the PS4 version of Marvel’s Spider-Man, you can do exactly that, as long as you still own that copy (physical or digital).
Overnight we released an update for Marvel’s Spider-Man on PS4 bringing those suits, and the ability to export your save to Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered.

We also updated Remastered to allow import of those exported saves and with many additional fixes (incl. rest mode crash) https://t.co/LVnYVykc0Q
Here’s what you need to do to transfer your save data from PS4 to the remastered PS5 version of the game:
1) Update both PS4 and PS5 versions to the latest patch available.
2) In Marvel’s Spider-Man on PS4, press R1 in the main menu to upload your save data.
2) In Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered on PS5, press R1 in the main menu to download your PS4 save data into the game.
Your trophies will transfer along with the save date. This means that if you’ve unlocked the Platinum trophy, it will automatically pop up in Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered as soon as the save date is successfully transfered.
Also, Insomniac Games Community Director James Stevenson recommends that for anyone who wants to export the save data from the PS4 version via backwards compatibility on the PS5, they should restart their PS5 console after updating the game (which is before you attempt to export the data).
If you plan to export from the PS4 game running on backwards compatibility on PS5, you may need to restart your console after applying the latest PS4 update/patch for it to work. https://t.co/bbHNLSa1tJ
