Halo TV Series Gives Update & New Set Photos
By Alleef Ashaari|December 22, 2020|0 Comment
It’s been a while since we last heard from Showtime’s Halo TV series. It is currently in production in Budapest, Hungary.
In a new blog post, co-showrunner Kiki Wolfkill has provided an update for us, along with some sweet new set photos of props and stuff.
Wolfkill said:
As you may have seen on IG last month, after a herculean effort on Showtime’s part, we were able to go back to Budapest a few months ago and resume production on the Halo television series!
While we were able to cover a lot of ground during the pandemic ‘hiatus’, the thing we couldn’t do while working from home was to actually shoot.
So with a rigorous covid protocol in place and our fingers crossed, we picked up where we left off in March and were able to get some amazing footage in the can.
Oh, and this time I got to pack Jen Taylor in my luggage to bring her Cortana magic to the show!
What a gift to have her on our set and in Budapest with me.
So much to share in 2021 but in the meantime, stay safe, Spartans and enjoy this tiny sneak peek!
It looks like the next update we’ll get will be sometime in 2021, but at least we have several set photos of the Halo TV series to tide us over until then.
First up is Jen Taylor, who is best known as the actress who portrays both Master Chief’s AI companion Cortana and her creator Dr. Catherine Halsey in the Halo games. However, in the Halo TV series, she will only be voicing Cortana while the role of Halsey will be played by Natascha McElhone.
This looks like it’s the hand of a Elite or Sangheili wrapped in plastic. Halo fans will recognize them to be part of the Covenant’s army.
There’s also a Halo crate of sorts.
Best of all, here are some real Halo prop weapons; namely the the BR85 battle rifle.
That’s all we have for today, Halo fans. Maybe we’ll catch a glimpse of Pablo Schreiber in the iconic Master Chief armour sometime next year.
Showtime’s Halo is slated to premiere sometime in 2021 (for now).
