Chinese Billionaire Games Dev CEO Dies At 39

Chinese billionaire Lin Qi has died on Christmas Day 2020 at the age of 39. According to Shanghai police (via BBC), Qi’s cause of death was determined to be poison.
Lin Qi was the chairman and CEO of games developer Yoozoo, best known for the Game Of Thrones Winter Is Coming strategy mobile game and the League Of Angels MMORPG franchise.
According to the Hurun China Rich List, he was believed to have a net worth of around 6.8 billion yuan (equivalent to roughly US$1 billion or RM4.2 billion).
Yoozoo Games is also known for holding the rights to the Chinese sci-fi novel Three-Body Problem, which is part of the Remembrance of Earth’s Past trilogy by Chinese writer Liu Cixin. Netflix is currently working on a live-action adaptation.
One of Qi’s colleagues, a Mr. Xu , has been identified as the main suspect of the case.
