Genshin Impact Lost Riches Guide: How To Get Iron Coins For Seelie Pets [Updated]

Update: This guide is complete.

Mihoyo just launched a new Genshin Impact limited event called Lost Riches. Basically, you’re on a treasure hunt all across Teyvat using a treasure-seeking Seelie that acts as a detector. You need to dig up spots all over the world to acquire Iron Coins, which you can then trade for exclusive event items.

The event will last from today until the 18th January 3:59am GMT+8. What can you get out of this event? Apart from Hero’s Wits and a few other items, you can also net yourself a Seelie pet for 280 Iron Coins, which you probably can’t find anywhere else. They come in three different colours: Dayflower (Blue), Rose (Pink Red), and Curcuma (Gold).

Here’s a guide about the event.

How To Get Iron Coins

To participate in the event, you need to have an Adventure Rank of 20 or above, and also have completed Prologue: Act 1 “The Outlander Who Caught The Wind”.

To start the event, head on over to the Stone Gate area to talk to Ulman. He will tell you about Iron Coins and give you a Treasure-Seeking Seelie for you to use.

You need to equip the Seelie as a gadget. Head on over to your Bag screen (“B” key) and select the gadget tab to equip the Treasure-Seeking Seelie.

Then, head on over to the Treasure Areas on your Event guidebook in the following order (for now):

  1. Falcon Coast
  2. Lingju Pass
  3. Starfell Lake
  4. Guili Plains
  5. Cuijue Slope
  6. Windrise
  7. Mingyun Village
  8. Stormterror’s Lair
  9. Nantianmen
  10. Cape Oath
  11. Dawn Winery
  12. Tianqiu Valley
  13. Guyun Stone Forest
  14. Mt Aozang

Once you’re at the first (or second, etc.) area, go to the circled spot. Then, activate your Treasure-Seeking Seelie to begin searching and digging up spots for Iron Coins. Once you hear a “ping”, look around for a yellow highlight. Head there and dig the spot for your coins.

Sometimes when you locate treasure, enemy Treasure Hunters and Hoarders will ambush you. They shouldn’t pose a problem since they’re scaled to your current Adventure Rank.

Repeat this for the four other locations in the order listed on the event guide. Once you’re done, you should have 240 Iron Coins. Save them for future treasure spot reveals later if you want that Seelie pet.

Brightcrown Canyon Special Treasure

This special treasure chest is northwest of Monstadt, near a ruined steeple with a church bell.

Interact with the glowing light to make a Challenge Marker appear. Activate it and you’ll have to fight a couple of Cryo and Hydro abyss mages to claim your reward. This fight is tricky since you can fail the challenge by getting your heroes frozen more than three times. Our advice is to get your Elemental specials ready and just nuke the Cryo mage quick.

Once you’re done, you’ll get the following reward:

  • 3x Hero’s Wit
  • 60x Primogems
  • 30,000x Mora
  • 6x Mystic Enhancement Ore

Yaoguang Shoal Special Treasure

Red herrings ho! Despite the treasure hint telling you that it’s at Yaoguang Shoal, head to this location at Guili Plains.

Once you dig the spot, you’ll unlock a Challenge totem. You may want to get your Elemental Bursts, Pyro users, and greatsword users ready since these fights feature giant hilichurls with shields & armour.. Beat the challenge to get your rewards.

  • 3x Hero’s Wit
  • 60x Primogems
  • 30,000x Mora
  • 6x Mystic Enhancement Ore
