BlazBlue Is Turning Into A Mobile RPG Gacha Game…

The wheel of fate wants some extra cash.

Arc System Works announces a spin-off game in the 2D fighting game BlazBlue franchise. The game type? It’s a mobile RPG called Blazblue Alternative Darkwar for iOS and Android. The gacha game featuring such creatively-named heroes like Ragnar Bloodedge and Iron Tager will act as a sequel to the long-running fighting game series. The game’s story takes place during the “Dark War” and will have its script and writing supervised by series creator Toshimichi Mori.

The game is on pre-reg mode right now; if you pre-register early, you’ll get an S-Class Noel Vermillion in a school uniform for free. If pre-reg numbers are over 10 million users, all players will get character advancement and upgrade items.

The game will be out in February 2021 in Japan. No English version has been announced yet. Check out the trailer below.
