Auto Chess, A Dota 2 Mod, Is Getting Its Own MOBA Game. Wait, What?

If there’s any game that deserves the “eternal cycle” award, it’s probably Auto Chess right now.

The makers of Auto Chess, Drodo Studio, & its publisher Dragonest, the “auto battler” that uses Dota 2 characters and bits to form its own genre that also led to Valve and Riot Games create their own versions of the game (Dota Underlords and Teamfight Tactics), is developing its own MOBA.

Yes, you read that right: the creators of a game in a custom game option in a game (Dota 2) that’s based off a mod of a game (WarCraft 3) is creating a new game that’s similar to the aforementioned mod of the game (Dota 2). Screw Ourobouros; this is a way more stark eternal cycle thing going on here.

Will Drodo Studio make their MOBA a little more different than Dota 2 and League of Legends? Or even Mobile Legends? Who knows? Video announcement below.
