Resident Evil Village Actress Has Died

Actress Jeanette Maus, known for voicing several characters in Resident Evil Village, has passed away at the age of 39.

The actress who had been battling colon cancer, died on Sunday 24th January. She also suffered from Crohn’s disease and had recently been diagnosed with COVID-19.

Maus worked as an acting coach out of West Hollywood’s John Rosenfeld Studios, as well as provided the VOs to the witches of the House of Dimitrescu in Resident Evil Village. The witches/daughters of house head Lady Dimitrescu have won the adoration of the video game community.

Capcom posted the following message in honour of the late actress.

“We here at Capcom R&D 1 are deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Jeanette Maus, the talented actress who helped bring several different characters, including our witches to the world in Resident Evil Village. Our hearts go out to her family and loved ones.”

The John Rosenfeld studio also offered their condolences, stating that Maus was a “force of nature” and “the best friend, the best teacher, and the best actor she could possibly be”.
