G4’s X-Play & Attack Of The Show! Will Return In Summer 2021

G4 has officially confirmed that X-Play and Attack of the Show! will be returning sometime in Summer 2021.

The news was confirmed on the official G4 Twitter account in a brief teaser video featuring the show’s logos (both X-Play and Attack Of The Show!), the voice of X-Play host Adam Sessler, and a text that states:

“We heard you. The legends return. Summer 2021. We never stopped playing.”

Last year, G4 made a surprise announcement, revealing its upcoming return during San Diego Comic-Con 2020 (or Comic-Con At Home 2020). Since then, WWE’s Xavier Woods has joined as a new host and even Olivia Munn (who is now a popular actress) is said to be in talks to rejoin as a host.

G4 was a video games-focused TV network that ran from 2002 to 2014. One of its most popular programmings was X-Play, which ran from 1998 to 2013 and featured everything from game reviews to gaming-related skits. Throughout the years, it was hosted by Adam Sessler, Morgan Webb, Blair Herter, Jessica Chobot, Lauren Fielder, Kristin Adams, and more.

Meanwhile, Attack of the Show! was a live TV show which focused on more pop culture in general, discussing news headlines, tech, movies, games, and more. It aired from 2005 to 2013 and was hosted by Kevin Pereira, Olivia Munn, Alison Haislip, Candace Bailey, Sara Jean Underwood, Kevin Rose, and more.

The G4 network also helped launch the careers of Geoff Keighley, Olivia Munn and other notable figures in the gaming coverage industry.
