Deadpool 3 Announced; Will Be Part Of The MCU & Still Foul-Mouthed

It’s confirmed: we’re getting a Deadpool 3, and it’s going to be part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And most importantly, it’s going to retain its R-rating.
The third instalment’s script will be worked on by Ryan Reynolds, which was previously penned by Bob’s Burgers writers Wendy and Lizzie Molyneux. Here’s the scoop via a Collider interview with Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige:
“It will be rated R and we are working on a script right now, and Ryan [Reynolds is] overseeing a script right now… It will not be [filming] this year. Ryan is a very busy, very successful actor. We’ve got a number of things we’ve already announced that we now have to make, but it’s exciting for it to have begun. Again, a very different type of character in the MCU, and Ryan is a force of nature, which is just awesome to see him bring that character to life.”
Up until now, we weren’t sure if MCU films will ever be R-rated or go beyond PG-13. Of course, the key takeaway is that Deadpool 3 won’t be filmed or released anytime soon since there’s a buttload of MCU films to go through. From 2021 and beyond, we have WandaVision, The Falcon & Winter Soldier, Black Widow, Loki, Shang-Chi and the Legend of The Ten Rings, What If…?, Eternals, and a third Spider-Man film starring Tom Holland.
WandaVision will start airing on 15th January on Disney Plus.
