Crash Bandicoot 4 Drops On PS5, Xbox Series & Switch This March

Publisher Activision and developer Toys for Bob have announced that they will release Crash Bandicoot 4 It’s About Time for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch on 12 March 2021, followed by PC via Battle.net sometime later in 2021.

Crash Bandicoot 4 It’s About Time originally launched for PS4 and Xbox One on 2 October 2020 (check out our review of the game here). Those who already own the last-gen versions of the game will be able to upgrade to the PS5 and Xbox Series X versions for free (except in Japan). Save data can also be carried over across generations.

On next-gen consoles, the game will run in 4K at 60 FPS on PS5 and Xbox Series X, and upscaled to 4K on Xbox Series S, as well as feature quicker load times and 3D audio.

In addition, the PS5 version will also utilize the DualSense controller’s adaptive triggers to feel the force of Neo Cortex’s DNA-changing blaster, or experience the grip as they grapple with Tawna’s Hookshot. The PS5’s Activity Card feature will also give players a breakdown of their progress throughout each of the game’s dimensions, providing guidance to achieve objectives and more.

Activision also teased that “fans can expect more information on the PC edition at a later date, along with other fun happenings in celebration of the franchise’s 25th anniversary.”
