343 Industries revealed more details and in-game screenshots for the upcoming Halo Infinite in a new blog post earlier today. However, what’s most intriguing is a secret audio file hidden and embedded in the same blog post, which was originally discovered by Twitter user @ZachRRobertson.

The audio file is only 46 seconds long, but it features a conversation between Dr. Halsey and Master Chief discussing Cortana’s takeover of the galaxy following the events of Halo 5 Guardians. She tells Master Chief that perhaps not all of the AI in the galaxy have allied themselves with Cortana’s Created faction. This potentially implies that Master Chief might be able to gain the support of some of these AI and bring the fight back to Cortana in Halo Infinite.

Halo Infinite was originally supposed to launch in Holiday 2020 but has been delayed to sometime in Fall 2021 for the Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, and PC.
