Microsoft Job Listing Points To New Mysterious Halo Game
By Alleef AshaariVerified|February 9, 2021|0 Comment
A new Halo game (that’s not Halo Infinite) is apparently in development, according to a Microsoft Xbox job listing.
The producer job posting, which was posted on 6 February 2021 (via GamesRadar), reveals that Halo franchise developer 343 Industries is working on a new entry in the Halo franchise. The listing states that the company is looking to hire a producer “to help develop a new project in the Halo universe”.
The phrasing in the job listing indicates that this Halo project is separate and different from Halo Infinite, which has been in development for a while now and is slated to launch sometime in 2021. It is also asking for experience in shipping AAA games for the current generation, which is interesting, to say the least.
Unfortunately (and as expected), the job listing doesn’t reveal any tangible information about what this new Halo game might be. It could be anything, from a new Halo Wars title or another Halo spinoff game in the vein of 2009’s Halo 3: ODST.
Let’s hope this new project’s development won’t be as troubled as Halo Infinite‘s, where even one of the directors departed last year.
