All The Games From The Xbox Indie Games Showcase

The Xbox Indie Game Showcase, titled ID@Xbox, has revealed a number of cool titles that won’t kill your wallet, whether it’s for PC or for brand-spanking new Xbox Series X|S. Most of these titles will be on the Xbox Game Pass on day 1, meaning you don’t even have to spend that much in the long run.

Here are our top picks from the showcase.


This free-to-play online competitive FPS mixes Crysis with Titanfall and Pacific Rim. Mechas meet power armour suits meet loads of first-person shooting. Should be fun, especially since you can run the game on 4K high fidelity with 120 fps mode on your Xbox Series X. The game will be out this August for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One.

The Ascent

We talked about this co-op action RPG set in a cyberpunk future a while ago. It’s still looking great. And it’ll be out day one on Xbox Game Pass. This one’s slated for 2021 on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.

The Wild At Heart

This cute exploration adventure title relies on its minimalist storytelling and graphic style to charm the pants off of you. So far, it’s working. The game will be out on 20th May for Xbox One and PC.

Moonglow Bay

You play a rookie angler who has to keep his fishing business afloat while coping with the loss of your partner. Its art style is voxel-based (Minecraft, The Touryst) and it’s looking mighty fine. If you love fishing and management simulations, you’ll be sure to ride on this good ship. Out in 2021 for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.

Demon Turf

Need a 3D platformer with a funky 2D art style and a attitude-filled demon protagonist? Demon Turf is your jam. You can play the PC Steam demo right now.

Demon Turf will be out on 2021 for Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Xbox One.

Narita Boy

A stylistic 2D action game where you protect the Digital Kingdom against giant bosses in 1v1 duels. Out 30th March for Xbox One and PC, as well as for PS4 and Nintendo Switch.

Soup Pot

Soup Pot is an indie game you should not be playing on an empty stomach, since it’s a cooking simulator made by Southeast Asian devs Chikon Club. Out August 2021 for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.

Song of Iron

Man, the 2D action games with stylish artwork onslaught isn’t stopping anytime soon. You should add Song of Iron on your list if you want to play a badass lone warrior killing all in his path with just his axe and shield.

Nobody Saves The World

From the geniuses that brought you the Guacamelee games comes this action-RPG. Play as either a ranger, a knight, and a horse in this crazy-laced RPG for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.

Astria Ascending

Here’s a big one: a 2D RPG featuring a story from Kazushige “Final Fantasy VII” Nojima and a soundtrack from Hitoshi “Basiscape” Sakimoto, made by Quebec-based Artisan Studios. Looks very gorgeous, sounds epic, and has an old-timey RPG feel to it. It’ll be out for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC. And it’ll be available for Xbox Game Pass.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2

Another big game, the folks from GSC Game World are showing off the progress of their upcoming open-world RPG shooter. It ain’t coming out anytime soon, so don’t hold your breath just yet.
