Spellbreak Gets First Major Update

Battle royale fans, you may want to give Spellbreak a chance if you haven’t. It’s a fantasy spell-slinging take on the genre with a unique elemental-combining mechanic featuring awesome spells and explosions, a fun team-based mechanic, and is generally favoured by a lot of people playing it on PC (based on its Steam release as far as I know).

It’s so popular that right now there are 5 million players in its player base, and it’s now on its second season. Developer Proletariat announces Spellbreak’s Chapter 2 update dubbed The Fracture. It adds a new 5v5 objective-based mode (involving zone control & point-capturing), a new seasonal ranking system, and new outfits to buy and more regions to explore.

The Chapter 2 update is huge, adding a copious “amount of gameplay and balance updates, environment features, bug fixes, matchmaking improvements, UI/UX refinements, and much more”.
