Chinese Overwatch League Teams To Boycott Activities Featuring Seoul Dynasty’s Saebyeolbe

Chinese Overwatch League’s Chengdu Hunters, Guangzhou Charge, Shanghai Dragons, and Hangzhou Spark have allegedly announced that they will refuse to participate in any activities including Seoul Dynasty’s main DPS, Saebyeolbe.
According to Dot Esports, this comes after controversial comments were made on Saebyeolbe’s stream regarding the unification of China and the freedom of speech on Chinese streaming platforms.
On 14 April 2021, Saebyeolbe posted an apology note on his personal Instagram account. In his note, he apologized to the Chinese Overwatch community for controversial remarks made on his Douyu live stream, which has since been deleted.
Now, two weeks after what happened, the managers and owners of all four Chinese Overwatch League teams posted on Weibo that they will be boycotting all activities involving Saebyeolbe.
In theory, they could still play against Seoul Dynasty if the team fielded a different DPS and not Saebyeolbe.
