Original story (8 May, 2021)
Daigo Umehara, a renowned Street Fighter player and esports competitor known for being one of the very few apex predators in the business, has tested positive for COVID-19.
According to a public statement on his Twitter account, he experienced fatigue and high fever on the 5th of May. Like any responsible human being in a worldwide pandemic, he went to the doctor to get tested. He was declared COVID-19 positive on 6th May.
He will be self-quarantining himself and will be resting at home while awaiting word from respective health officials on what to do next. He also apologizes for causing concern to his colleagues and supporters.
