Ubisoft has announced that the worldwide gameplay reveal of Far Cry 6, the latest instalment in the Far Cry franchise, will take place on 29 May 2021 at 12.30am GMT+8, on the following channels:
Far Cry 6 is an open-world first-person shooter that plunges players into the heart of a modern-day guerrilla revolution set in Yara, a tropical paradise frozen in time under the oppressive rule of President Antón Castillo (Giancarlo Esposito).
As he vows to restore his nation to its former glory while grooming his son Diego (Anthony Gonzalez) to follow in his footsteps, players will embody Dani Rojas, a local military dropout turned guerrilla fighter in their quest to overthrow the tyrant and unite the nation.
Developed by Ubisoft Toronto, Far Cry 6 is set to release later in 2021 on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, and PC exclusively on both the Epic Games Store and the Ubisoft Store. It was announced late last year in 2020 that Far Cry 6 would be delayed beyond its original 18 February 2021 release date.
