Xbox Exclusive Contraband Is Written By Malaysian, But Not Set In Malaysia

We don’t know much about the upcoming triple-A Xbox exclusive game Contraband, except that it’s an open-world co-op game about smuggling stolen goods. And it’s also a collaboration between Avalanche Studios (Just Cause series) and Xbox Studios. But we do know that there’s some Malaysian DNA in the upcoming title.

Malaysian novelist Bernice Chauly, known for her books Lost In KL, The Book of Sins, and Once We Were There, is the writer and advisory circle member for Contraband. Just keep in mind that the game will not be set in Malaysia, but rather in a fictional Southeast Asian city of 1970s Bayan.
