Hot Toys Adds Another Star Wars The Bad Batch Member

Disney Plus animated series Star Wars The Bad Batch is now several episodes in on Disney+ Hotstar Malaysia. Ahead of its premiere, Hot Toys has announced that Star Wars The Bad Batch leader, Hunter, is getting a 1/6th scale figure on its official Facebook account.

The Bad Batch, technically known as Clone Force 99, is the result of Kaminoan experiments to create a specialist unit of clone commandos. Hunter, their leader, is a strong and stoic soldier. Hunter has extraordinarily keen senses that give him an edge when tracking down his targets.

The highly accurate collectible figure features meticulously developed recreation of Hunter’s armour and helmet with weathering effects, the interchangeable head sculpt with wonderful likeness, a military backpack, a range of weapons, and a specially designed display base.

It’s available to pre-order at the price of US$250 here.

Star Wars The Bad Batch follows the elite and experimental clones of the Bad Batch as they find their way in a rapidly changing galaxy in the immediate aftermath of the Clone War. Members of Bad Batch; a unique squad of clones who vary genetically from their brothers in the Clone Army; each possess a singular exceptional skill that makes them extraordinarily effective soldiers and a formidable crew.

The Bad Batch was originally introduced in the final season of Star Wars The Clone Wars, and they were the focus of the first major story arc in the aforementioned season. The Bad Batch is an elite clone commando squad consisting of four clone troopers designed with genetic mutations. These include:

  • “Tech,” a clone with heightened mental capacity and intelligence.
  • Clone Sergeant “Hunter,” a clone with improved sensory abilities.
  • “Wrecker,” a clone with enhanced strength.
  • “Crosshair,” a clone with sharpshooter abilities.

Each member of the Bad Batch could be identified by a skull icon on their clone trooper armour. Following the Battle of Anaxes (which happened in the first four episodes of Star Wars The Clone Wars Season 7), fan-favourite Clone Corporal “Echo” also officially joined the squad.

Star Wars The Clone Wars creator and The Mandalorian executive producer Dave Filoni returns for Star Wars The Bad Batch as executive producer alongside Athena Portillo (Star Wars The Clone WarsStar Wars Rebels), Brad Rau (Star Wars RebelsStar Wars Resistance) and Jennifer Corbett (Star Wars ResistanceNCIS).

Meanwhile, Carrie Beck (The MandalorianStar Wars Rebels) acts as head writer and co-executive producer, while Josh Rimes will be the producer (Star Wars Resistance).

Previously, Echo was the first to have his Hot Toy revealed back in May 2021.
