Bayonetta 3 Is “Progressing Well” Says Nintendo

The Nintendo E3 2021 presentation was great and all, but it was lacking a few key announcements for some. One of them is an update on Bayonetta 3, the sequel to the PlatinumGames action series that was announced a few years ago.

Breaking the silence is Nintendo of America, who told GameSpot in a video interview that the game is still in development. Here’s a quote from Nintendo senior product marketing manager Bill Trinen and senior director of localisation Nate Bihldorff:

“It definitely still exists. [We] will even go one further and say not only does it exist, but it’s progressing well.

We like to show things whenever we’re ready to show them, and certainly we like to show things when the developer’s ready to show them. So we didn’t have it at E3, but stay tuned.”

That’s good to know. We are wondering what on earth happened to Bayonetta 3, which is slated for Nintendo Switch god knows when.
