After 3 Years, Singapore’s Bountie Arena Shuts Down

Disclaimer: the writer of this article has worked with Bountie back in 2018.

COVID-19 can be a huge detriment to many businesses, be it food chains and restaurants or even cybercafes. Singapore internet cafe Bountie Arena is the latest casualty of the pandemic.

Bountie Arena will be closing on 7th July, which is in the next few weeks. Singaporeans who still have Bountie Arena credits left can get their refund via this Google Doc link. Players can also buy the internet cafe’s gaming desktops and desks through this separate order form.

The Bountie Arena internet cafe has been around since 2019 and features a large gaming space arena, 112 gaming desktops, and a few others that make it a hub for Singaporean gamers. The company had previously dealt with cryptocurrency back in 2018 (and still is) before entering the internet cafe business the year after. It’s sad to see one of these establishments shutter, though COVID-19 has affected these offline businesses in a bad way.
