FIFA Online 4 EACC Summer 2021 Reveals Teams & Tournament Format

Leading video games publisher Electronic Arts has announced the upcoming schedule and participants for the FIFA ONLINE 4 Series tournament, EACC Summer 2021. The tournament will feature 12 participating teams, with 3 representatives each from 4 countries: China, Thailand, Vietnam, and South Korea. The teams will be playing for a prize pool of USD$100,000, with the grand prize amounting to US$35,000.

EVENT FORMAT

DRAFT DAY: Invited teams have participated in a draft day on 22 June 2021. Each team was assigned a randomized group and draw order to determine their position in the snake draft, with a total of 12 rounds. For detailed draft rules and order, please refer here.

GROUP STAGE: The group stage will be held across 3 days from 28 to 30 June 2021. The draft will split the 12 teams into 4 groups of 3 teams, with a maximum of 1 representative from each country for each group. The top 2 teams from each group will proceed to the Knockout Stages.

KNOCKOUT STAGE: The knockout stage will feature a double-elimination bracket. Stage 1 will start with the top seed from each group matched up with a runner-up seed from another group in Best-of-3 (BO3) matches and will be played on 2nd and 3rd July. Stage 2 will conclude the tournament with the semi-finals and finals, to be held on 4 July 2021, and will feature Best-of-5 (BO5) matches.

PARTICIPATING TEAMS

The participating teams for EACC SUMMER 2021 are decided based on their placement in Domestic Qualifying Events. The full list of teams and their respective grouping is as follows:
