Latest Street Fighter 5 Tier List For 2021’s Recent Patch Sees Some High Risers
By Jonathan ToyadVerified|June 3, 2021|0 Comment
The 18th May 2021 patch for Street Fighter 5: Champion Edition has changed up the game’s meta for the better. Weak characters get buffs while stronger characters get nerfs.
The latest from Japanese tournament fighting group Topanga, which include FAV|Ryusei, Rohto|Tokido, RB|Gachikun, RZR|Fuudo, RB|Bonchan and HG|Moke, have cast their votes for this month’s updated tier list.
Most notably, characters like Nash have climbed up the rankings exponentially. Still, the usual suspects like Karin, Menat, Cammy, Rashid, and Guile are still hovering in the S-tier spot. Here’s the lowdown:
Cammy, Karin, Menat, Rashid, Guile, Urien, M.Bison (Dictator), Abigail
Kolin, Balrog (Boxer), Poison, Chun-Li, Akuma, Sakura, Seth, Sagat, Zangief
G, Laura, Ryu, Birdie, Nash, Cody, Ed, Falke, Juri, Ken, E.Honda, Zeku, Vega (Claw), Lucia, Dhalsim
Necalli, Blanka, R.Mika, Ibuki, F.A.N.G, Kage
Alex, Gill, Rose, Dan
Just keep in mind that Rose and Dan haven’t seen much tournament play for more than three months, so their ranking will probably go up a few notches in the near future. Having said that, Alex and Gill are still considered the bottom of the barrel by Japanese players.
It’ll be interesting to see where Rose and Dan will place later in 2021, especially with new characters like Oro and Rival School’s Akira entering the fray.
