NetherRealm Ends Support For Mortal Kombat 11 After More Than Two Years

NetherRealm announced that it’s now focusing on its next big project, meaning that it will not be releasing any more DLC for its 2D fighting game Mortal Kombat 11.

The latest in the Mortal Kombat series has had 2+ years of DLC and expansions ranging from characters like The Terminator, Robocop, and John Rambo, to a new story campaign featuring the series’ iconic bad guy Shang Tsung. Needless to say, the game had a great run.

So what’s next for NetherRealm? Well, knowing its portfolio and track record, the team may be working on a new Injustice game. Either that, or the much-rumoured Marvel fighting game that’s a-buzzing. Either way, we’ll find out later in the next few months.
