Resident Evil Village Sold More Than 4.5 Million Copies Worldwide
To the surprise of absolutely no one, the most-anticipated and most-acclaimed Resident Evil game of this year has sold a ton of copies.
Capcom announced that the total shipments and digital sales for all digital versions of Resident Evil Village (or RE8) has surpassed 4.5 million units worldwide. The game came out on 7th May, so it’s pretty impressive it sold this amount in just a few months. The fact that it’s fun to play, gives out the right amount of chills and survival horror action beats, as well as being a lovely callback to a great Resident Evil predecessor without being an outright remake, is why it sold so many copies.
