A Brazillian Fortnite streamer was arrested on 27 July 2021 for allegedly raping two of his fans who are under-aged children between the ages of 10 to 14 years old. Raulino de Oliveira Maciel, also known as RaulZito, has hundreds of thousands of followers across Twitch, YouTube, and Instagram.

According to the police who is handling the investigation, RaulZito used his fame and reputation as a gaming streamer to lure children, especially on Instagram. RaulZito was apprehended by the Civil Police of Rio de Janeiro’s Department for Child and Adolescent Victims (DCAV) in Florianópolis, Santa Catarina, Brazil.

According to the police report (via Dexerto), the mother of a victim revealed that her son said that he suffered from abuse at the hands of RaulZito between February and May 2021. Another child also reported being molested by RaulZito. These cases reportedly took place in Niterói, the Metropolitan Region of Rio, and in the municipality of São Caetano do Sul, in São Paulo. The victims are all actors by occupation.

SBT Games (who manages RaulZito) has since released a statement confirming that RaulZito is no longer part of the company and that they are “awaiting the elucidation of the facts and result of the investigation.”
