Cyberpunk 2077 Is Popular On PS4 Despite Sony’s Warning
By Jonathan ToyadVerified|July 14, 2021|0 Comment
Cyberpunk 2077, a sci-fi RPG that has been getting fixed since its release last December, is topping the PlayStation Store charts this June.
This is in spite of it being available for purchase on the PlayStation Store for nine days following Sony kicking it out of the PlayStation Store last year. The game finally returned to the company’s online store on 21st June after six months of being in exile.
Keep in mind that this is also in spite of Sony putting up a warning about Cyberpunk 2077 still being broken.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Users continue to experience performance issues with this game. Purchase for use on PS4 systems is not recommended. For the best Cyberpunk experience on PlayStation, play on PS4 Pro and PS5 systems.
It seems that this warning is not dampening interest in the RPG. Cyberpunk 2077 was the top downloaded game on the PS4 in both North America and Europe, beating out GTA5, FIFA 21, NBA 2K21, and Call of Duty: Black Ops – Cold War.
We’ve said it already on our review last year: Cyberpunk 2077 is a great game with a rich main story and some nice twists and turns in its gameplay, but it’s obviously riddled with bugs and technical issues. It’s good news for CD Projekt that the game is bouncing back sales-wise, with the company still fixing what was already broken.
