Neo: The World Ends With You Pins List & Guide

Neo: The World Ends With You features a nifty combat system that revolves around the use of Pins; badges of literal power that grant your group skills to fight. These Pins will help you fight off enemies called Noises and thus help you out of the Reaper’s Game.

Here’s a guide that details how to evolve these Pins and a list of them.

How To Evolve Pins (Most Of Them)

For the majority of pins listed below, you simply need to use the pins in combat. For example, Mom’s Secret Ingredient pin simply needs to hit Level 5 to evolve. Pins require PP (Pin Points), which you earn by using pins in battle in order to level up and reach the evolution requirements.

When you start the game, the pins Evolution will simply read as “Yes” or “No.” However, toward the tail-end of Week 3, you can unlock Marino Orihara’s Social Link, which gives you much more information about each Pin’s evolution.

In fact, this is the only way to evolve some of the pins outside of sheer luck. Until you get Orihara’s link, some pin’s Evolution stat will read as “???” Her link will open up all of the “Evolutionary Secrets” in the game and allow you to see how to evolve these mystery pins.

Once you’ve unlocked Orihara’s Link, it changes the “???” text to a playable character’s name. This tells you which character you need to equip the pin on for the pin to evolve to the next level. For example, Once Upon a Dream will only evolve if equipped onto Fret.
