Supergirl Final Season Wraps Up Filming
By Alleef Ashaari|August 9, 2021|0 Comment
We reported back last year that Supergirl Season 6 is slated to be the final season for the series. After long delays due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and other issues, the final season of Supergirl has finally wrapped up filming and officially finished production.
After production ended, Supergirl lead star Melissa Benoist (who plays protagonist Kara Zor-El AKA Supergirl) posted on her Instagram with a picture from set to mark the occasion. In the photo with co-stars David Harewood (J’onn J’onzz) Martian Manhunter) and Chyler Leigh (Alex Danvers/Sentinel), she wrote the caption:
“Thank you for an incredible 6 years — the cast who became family, everyone who worked on the show, all of you who watched us week after week. That’s a wrap on @supergirlcw.”
Supergirl is one of many shows which is part of the shared universe that was previously called CW’s Arrowverse. Despite the ending of Supergirl, the CW still has Superman & Lois, which will soon end its first season with the second season already in the works. In the meantime, you can check out my review of Superman & Lois here.
Supergirl Season 6 continues starting from 24 August 2021.
